Diligent Honey Bees | Original Wood Wall Art
Two Honey Bees dance across a beautiful mosaic of salvaged sheet metal, summer 2024.
I salvaged the various worn and weathered strips of sheet metal from a local farm that was being cleaned out to be sold. Many of the scrap bits were from tins and gas cans found rusting away beautifully behind the barn. The cut-out flower piece at the bottom was from a mangled watering can that probably was just some sort of outdoor decor. Who knows! But I hope you can enjoy the result of what I would describe as a very balanced and elegant piece.
Painted on collaged scrap metal and mounted on plywood, 7.5 x 9 inches.
Hand cut, assembled, and painted in Northfield, Minnesota
